Join Akron at 200 author Charlotte Gintert on an exploratory tour of one of Akron’s oldest legacy neighborhoods, Goosetown. Now a part of the University Park neighborhood, Goosetown has long been a place for new Americans to put down roots and build community. We will be visiting some of the neighborhood’s most interesting landmarks from the 1800s to today while we discuss its fascinating past and its dynamic present.

Meet at the Greenleaf Family Center parking lot at 580 Grant St, Akron. Wear your walking shoes and be prepared for long periods of walking and standing. Please dress for the weather, the walk will occur rain or shine.
