Prof. Andy Chun is a globally AI visionary and innovator, with over three decades of spearheading digital advancements across multiple sectors. As a leading AI authority in Hong Kong, he has crafted pioneering AI solutions that have significantly enhanced the city’s social services, living standards, and economic growth, touching the lives of millions every day.

Prof. Chun serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Executive MBA program at City University of Hong Kong’s College of Business, where he shares his experience in strategic technology innovation. He previously served as the Regional Director of Technology Innovation at Prudential plc where he led the use of state-of-the-art technologies to enrich customer well-being and financial prosperity. His earlier roles include CEO positions at various AI tech startups and a dual role as a Computer Science professor and CIO at City University of Hong Kong. His expertise also extends to advising and consulting for companies and startups in various sectors.

Prof. Chun is actively involved in community service and is a senior advisor to the HKSAR Government on AI and IT strategies and an advisor to the AI Specialist Group of Hong Kong Computer Society, where he formerly served as Vice-President. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the tech industry, Prof. Chun was conferred the Distinguished Fellow title by the Hong Kong Computer Society. He has been recognized as Hong Kong’s top CIO, one of Greater China’s top five CIOs, and a global top 100 IT leader. He has also received numerous local and international awards for his work, including HKICTA and APICTA as well as several AI awards from AAAI. He has a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and completed a CIO MBA training from Boston University.
