AI Workshop: Build-A-Bot (FREE)
By Snail Brain
Overview
Curious about AI but not sure where to start? In this workshop you’ll build three custom chatbots aligned with what matters most to you.
*** This workshop will take place in the Missoula Public Library on the 4th floor in the Blackfoot Board Room. ***
In this 90-minute, hands-on workshop, you’ll build three AI bots step-by-step and learn how to shape their tone, accuracy, behavior, and purpose in ways that align with your own goals and values.
What you’ll build
- A meal-planning bot we iterate on together during a live demo
- A collaborative small-group bot, such as a customer-service helper, curriculum generator, scheduling assistant, or fundraising strategist
- An individual bot you design and refine on your own—like a personal organizer or a creative brainstorm partner
What you’ll learn
- How prompts and structure affect bot performance
- How to guide a bot’s tone, safety, clarity, and privacy behavior
- How context shapes AI outputs
- How to choose and test domains where AI helps you most
- How to refine and compare bot behaviors across use cases
- How to integrate AI into your life or work with intention—not overwhelm
Participants can join from any internet-connected device (phone, tablet, laptop). You’ll leave with three working bots and the confidence to keep exploring AI on your own.
