Afincao Team Auditions

Afincáo is excited to announce that we will be having team auditions here in Charlotte, NC. We would like to invite anyone in the Charlotte area who is interested in improving upon their salsa and latin dance foundations.

Who should audition?

All levels of dancers. We will be holding auditions for all of our teams. Based on your level of experience, we will place you accordingly.

Afincao: Intermediate to advanced dancers who want to take their dancing to the next level through training and performing, or a mixture of both.

Afincao Student Team: Beginner/ Intermediate dancers who want to focus heavily on training with local performance opportunities.

Afincao Training Team: Beginner/ Intermediate dancers who want to focus heavily on training only. Members of this team do not learn choreographies.

What to expect at the auditions:

This open call is for anyone who wishes to join the team, as well as those who are just looking to grow as dancers.

The first hour will begin with a registration/information period, followed by a brief workshop featuring a short footwork/ partner work. The second hour will be geared toward assessing individuals. This is where we rehearse and perform in smaller groups the excerpt learned in the first hour.

What to wear: Come in comfortable dancewear (shorts, yoga pants, dance shoes, or socks if you do not own dance shoes).

Cost: This audition has been sponsored and will be free for all interested in attending.
