About this event
Volunteers are at the heart of everything AFC does to serve our patients. Without our volunteers we would not be able to provide the comprehensive, whole-person care we are committed to. Thank you for your interest in being a part of our dedicated, passionate team.
Please join us for our monthly Tour/Volunteer Information Session. Our Director of Volunteer Resources, Kate Nadeau, will provide a history of the clinic and explain the role of volunteers in our mission. She will review current volunteer opportunities, explain the application process, and outline how onboarding works. At the end there is a Q&A.
Frequently asked questions
All prospective volunteers must attend an Info Session/Tour so they have an understanding of who we are, what we do, who we serve, and how we do it. Attendees will receive application information in a post-event email.
Unfortunately, no. The most common shifts for volunteers are 1pm-3:30pm (M-F) and 5pm-8pm (T-Th).
All volunteers onsite at the clinic must be 18+. We accept 16+ volunteers as part of our Ambassador Program. More information about the Ambassador role can be found on our website: www.arlingtonfreeclinic.org
We have existing partnerships with Marymount U., Catholic U., and George Mason U. for nursing community health rotations. We do not generally accept students from other schools. Unfortunately, we are not able to host NP Preceptorships as we do not have staff to act as preceptors.
