About Our Speaker

Byron Tau is a Washington, D.C.-based reporter and the author of Means of Control. He is an investigative and enterprise journalist who specializes in law, courts, and national security. He has been a reporter for outlets such as Politico and the Wall Street Journal, and currently reports for NOTUS, the brand-new publication covering politics and policy from the Allbritton Journalism Institute. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and History from McGill University, and a M.P.S. in Journalism from Georgetown University.

About Our Moderator

Luke Hogg is Director of Policy Outreach at the Foundation for American Innovation, where he focuses on the intersection of technological innovation and public policy. Before joining FAI, Luke was Federal Affair Manager at FreedomWorks, where he concentrated on blockchain, internet governance, and regulatory issues. He holds a BA in Government and Data Science from the College of William and Mary and lives in Washington, DC.
