Adventure Awaits - Learn About Aquatic Flora via Kayak @ Loxahatchee Slough

Kayaks provided (single-person kayaks)
Join us on an educational tour about the aquatic flora in the Loxahatchee Sough. We will explain and show you why aquatic plants are so crucial for balancing our shared natural resources. Depending on the water levels, we may paddle up to three miles. The meet up location is at the Loxahatchee Slough Natural Area Canoe Kayak Launch, 8311 PGA Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418. Please note that there are restroom facilities in walking distance at Sandhill Crane Access Park, but it does not have drinking water.
Kayaks provided are all single kayaks, therefore, this event is not recommended for children that cannot paddle alone. Please be confident that you can handle this experience before signing up.
Directions: From I-95 or the Turnpike take PGA Boulevard exit. Head west (4 miles from I-95 or 2 miles from the Turnpike). The Loxahatchee Slough Natural Area Canoe Kayak Launch is located on the north side of PGA Boulevard.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty/wet.
- Bring water sun protection and bug spray
- Bring water and a water bottle.
- Be prepared for a fun, wet outdoor activity. Don’t forget to bring water, sunscreen, a dry bag and comfortable, appropriate clothing that will get wet.
Please no pets or unaccompanied minors.
