FREE EVENT - Join a wildlife expert for a walking safari in search of gopher tortoises!
REGISTRATION OPENS 1/22/26 @ 12PM
Join a biologist on a hike of Seacrest Scrub Natural Area and learn about one of nature's best diggers and bulldozers, the State-threatened gopher tortoise. The hike will be approximately 1 mile along paved and unpaved sandy trails. We will also be on the lookout for scrub lizards and other reptiles that call this Natural Area home. Meet in the parking lot.
Please bring water, appropriate clothing (hat, hiking shoes/boots, long-sleeved shirts and pants for bugs) sunscreen and a water bottle. This site does not have a restroom facility.
Please no pets or unsupervised children.
