Advent Garden Spiral: Earth-based Candle Lighting Ritual

SLC invites you to attend the Community Meal from 6 to 7 p.m. prior to the Advent Garden Spiral program which will begin promptly at 7 p.m. Please be on time for this special candle lighting ritual as there is an opening ceremony you won't want to miss before all are invited to enter the Advent Garden Spiral.

Experience the Advent Season with this beautifully sacred ceremony for the entire community, young and old. This cedar garland spiral portrays the four kingdoms of the earth – mineral, plant, animal, human - waking to the coming of the inner Light. Accompanied by soft music by Paula Mandella, Catherine Mandella, Lisa Lawson, and Michael Lawson, all are invited to journey to the center with a candle, where we meet this Light, then carry our own unique flame back out into the world. Linger awhile and witness the ever expanding Light radiate outwards.
