As of January 2022, visitors must produce proof of vaccination with photo ID and appropriately wear N95 or KN95 masks (with both mouth and nose covered) at all times within the Artists Center at the Galen.

This ZOOM class for advanced PROCREATE users will cover: Selections, Transform, Adjustments, Making Brushes, Gestures, Preferences and more. Handouts for quick reference on everything are included.

Pat Kodet, Coachella Valley artist and educator, will challenge your technical knowledge in the world of Digital Art using the PROCREATE app for your Apple device during this 6-day advanced intensive ZOOM class. After 12 hours of instruction, you will have enough experience to create Layers andText, use Drawing Guides and Assisted Drawing, utilize the modes such as Selections and Transform, Adjustments, Making Brushes, Gestures and Preferences, and Import Photos of your artwork into PROCREATE for critiquing compositions and color schemes (applied to any medium). Must have basic knowledge of PROCREATE to participate or permission of instructor.

Handouts for quick reference on everything are included.

What you will need:

- An iPad and Apple pencil -- either 1st generation Apple pencil for your iPad and iPad mini, or for your iPad Pro and iPad Air, a 2nd generation Apple pencil is required. Check Apple's website for the right combination: https://www.apple.com/apple-pencil/

- PROCREATE App downloaded.

- Handouts will be emailed to you before each ZOOM meeting.

Pat is an experienced and accomplished artist who has taught art to both children and adults. Along with paint, Pat works with Photoshop, Illustrator, and a few other graphic programs. In the past year, she was introduced to an App called PROCREATE. It works with an Apple pencil and iPad.
