Course Description

During this workshop, we will take a deep dive into the hearing aid provider/patient experience. Content covered includes the ACT test, complex fitting procedures, CROS/BiCROS fittings, and advanced feature verification. Be ready for interactive discussions and activities during which you will learn how to use the equipment to its maximum capabilities, leading to loyal and long-term patients.


Learning Objectives

  1. Explain the steps for performing an ACT test
  2. Describe how ACT is integrated into Oticon Genie 2 fitting software to support hearing aid fittings.
  3. Summarize how the ACT value will affect specific settings within Oticon Genie 2 for individual fittings.
  4. Complete the ACT test.
  5. Interpret the ACT value.
  6. Demonstrate how to use the ACT value in an Oticon hearing aid fitting.
  7. Identify the steps involved in the REM process following best practices.
  8. Explain the steps to set up Genie 2 fitting software to perform AutoREM.
  9. Recognize the key benefits and limitations of both manual real-ear measurements and AutoREM.
  10. Perform the steps involved in the REM process using verification equipment.

  12. Accurately apply built in features within verification equipment to save time.
