Frequently asked questions

Is this event for professionals only?

No! Person's with limb loss are welcome to attend the classroom style learning event from 1:30-4:30 and then the hands on community activity/lab session from 4:45-6:45. Tickets are free for people with limb loss.

How is this learning event structured?

To earn continuing education units from the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy, PTs and PTAs must attend both the didactic and hands on lab sessions (1:30-4:30pmand 4:45-6:45pm, respectively.)

Is any food provided

Please bring your own snacks or you may purchase at our cafeteria - open until 2pm, or purchase in our gift shop (more expansive hours. Bring a water bottle if you like and refill for free at water bottle refill stations in the hospital .

Are handouts provided?

The day before the event, you will receive an Eventbrite email with links to the handouts/materials for the course. You may print and bring with you or bring a laptop to view the materials along with the presentatation.

The University of Maryland Rehabilitation Network (UMRN) is a coordinated system of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation providers working together to help people recover from illness or injury, such as stroke, joint replacement or traumatic injury.
