We will review single tap sounds, basic tap steps, and progress to multiple sound/step combinations, tap turns, and longer tap sequences. Tap techniques will be reviewed throughout the semester. For Intermediates, you will be working on speed and clarity of tap sounds, along with combinations using Riffe Walks, Buffalos, Time Steps, Multi-directional Cramp Rolls, and Tap Turns. By the conclusion of the class, you will have learned multiple tap combinations, improved your skills, and have started a full length tap dance, at either level! Complex tap combinations will be presented each week. Plus, tap dance is simply a great form of exercise, one where you have an opportunity to hear a variety of music from many decades every week!
