What is Neighborhood Art School (NAS) all about?

Neighborhood Art School's (NAS) mission is to support the development of lifelong creative practices by bringing together artists, neighbors, and educators to host community-led classes and events. You can find more info at www.neighborhoodartschool.org

Does this technique work on any type of fabric?

Appliqué is best suited for fabrics that don’t fray excessively and can handle multiple layers. Ideal choices include: Cotton, jersey, denim, and canvas, It is less effective on lightweight or extremely stretchy fabrics like silk, or spandex, as these can be too delicate.

Can I bring my own fabric for patching?

Yes! We'll have plenty of pieces of fabric to choose from of an assortment of weight but if you want something specifically coordinating or have something in your stash, please bring it!
