Join us for the largest gathering of active transportation advocates in Orange County!


The Alliance for a Healthy Orange County and the OC Partnership to Improve Community Health are excited to announce the 2017 Regional Active Transportation Forum " Smarter, Sustainable and Connected Communities: Moving Orange County Forward with ONE voice".

This year's forum will focus on the intersection of Active Transportation and Equitable Development and how policy makers, active transportation advocates, and other partners can join forces to make Orange County communities smarter, equitable, healthier and sustainable for ALL.

The 2017 AHOC Active Transportation Forum will be one full day of inspiring sessions, networking with interactive learning, and a walking tour.

If you are a policy maker, government staff, advocate, or a professional working in the fields of active transportation planning, engineering, community/ economic development, housing, recreation and public health this is an event you want to attend!

We are excited to announce our Keynote Speaker for this year forum!

Keynote Speaker: Charles Marohn - known as "Chuck" to friends and colleagues

Chuck is a Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in the State of Minnesota and a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). He is the Founder and President of Strong Towns. Marohn has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota's Institute of Technology and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Minnesota's Humphrey Institute. Marohn is the author of Thoughts on Building Strong Towns — Volume 1 and Volume 2 — as well as A World Class Transportation System. He hosts the Strong Towns Podcast and is a primary writer for Strong Towns’ web content. He has presented Strong Towns concepts in hundreds of cities and towns across North America.

Session themes will include:
