Acting Workshop + Ditch Battle + RPG Game
Overview
🎬 About the Event
Step into the story world of Rise of the Warlord as we build confidence, teamwork, and imagination through acting games, improv, and table top role playing!
This session is perfect for homeschoolers who love drama, creativity, and a touch of fantasy adventure.
You’ll start with a 45-minute Acting Workshop led by Dana Susan Beasley, Program Director of the Explorers Creativity Club — designed to awaken imagination and help students embody characters with voice, body, and emotion.
Then, put those skills into action in safe, supervised ditch battles and an interactive table top roleplaying game connected to our ongoing story campaign.
🎭 What You’ll Experience
- Acting Warm-Ups & Improv Games — fun, active, and confidence-building
- Movement & Voice Exercises — learn how actors use their bodies and voices to tell stories
- Mini-Scenes & Tableaus — act out short scenes from Rise of the Warlord
- Ditch Battle Practice — foam sword duels and team skirmishes (safety-first!)
- Short RPG Story Challenge — work together to overcome an in-character quest
✝️ Faith-Friendly Focus
Our Explorers program blends creativity, storytelling, and Scripture-based inspiration. Each session includes a short devotional connecting lessons in courage, grace, and teamwork to biblical truth.
(All are welcome — faith-centered, not preachy.)
