Whether you’re brand new or already hooked, this class is your weekly chance to fly, play, and connect.
No partner required—just curiosity and a sense of adventure.

💪 What to expect

Each class blends:

  • Guided warmups and partner drills
  • Flow sequences for different levels
  • Spotting, progressions, and bailing drills to build confidence

You’ll learn to base (lift), fly (be lifted), and spot (support others) while improving body awareness, communication, and teamwork.

You don’t need to be especially strong—if you can probably hold the top of a push-up for a few seconds, that’s usually enough to start.

🏙️ Location & arrival details

📍 Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 8th Ave (between 36th & 37th St.)

Please arrive 15 minutes early for the security check (photo ID required) and to locate the studio room.

You’ll receive the studio number by email on the day of class.
If you sign up last minute, check the lobby screens or ask the front desk.
(Occasionally, the class may be in the building across the street—check your email!)

👕 What to bring & wear

  • Yoga mat
  • Snug-fitting clothing with no loops, ties, or zippers (e.g. yoga pants and a fitted top)
  • Avoid slippery shorts—they make balancing harder
  • Water bottle

🖊️ Participants will be asked to sign a release of liability waiver before class.
📸 Photos and videos may be taken for promotional purposes.

I’m Thomas, founder of the Acroyoga Learning Lab.
I’ve introduced hundreds of students to acroyoga through a progressive, confidence-building approach that blends technique, communication, and play.
You’ll learn progressively, at your own pace, in a fun and supportive environment.
