About this workshop:

Explore more advanced topics related to inclusive improv instruction, focused on disabled, chronically ill, and neurodiverse improvisers. Topics include:

  • misconceptions about access and inclusion
  • internalised ableism messages
  • internal reflection work that teachers can do
  • specific feedback on giving notes.

About your instructor:Amy Dickinson (she/her) is a disability access and inclusion consultant and trainer. She is a specialist in project and strategy implementation with a master’s from The University of Oxford. Amy’s knowledge is academic, practical, and from lived experience of chronic illness. She has worked with artists and art organisations around the world.

Amy is also a director, performer and writer. She is passionate about creative accessibility and aims to show the potential of this philosophy in all her work. Amy aims to create work that inspires disabled to people to explore the depths of their imaginations without limits. She is particularly interested in the power relations involved in inclusive projects.
