About this event
This session is offered as a webinar via Zoom. This event is for Cal State LA faculty and staff only.
An important component of designing and building an online or hybrid course is to ensure that the instructional materials are accessible for students with disabilities. In this workshop, we will demonstrate several things instructors can do to ensure accessibility of their course materials.
We will cover:
- The importance of closed captioning, and who it may benefit
- How to utilize alt-text descriptions to enhance meaning
- Considering alternative formats for instructional materials
- Using Word Styles for clarity and organization
NOTE: To receive TEACH credit, please submit a syllabus document or link to a Canvas-based syllabus structured using heading styles. The Resource Canvas course will be available 48 hours after you have been checked in to the webinar.
