Explore American River Beach & Parkway with TLC and NatureTrack!

Join us for another accessible adventure, we are exploring a new spot on the American River! Get ready to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and discover the wild inhabitants of this incredible park. Located at Howe River Access, 7929 La Riviera Dr, Sacramento, CA 95826. There is a long off road trail next to the paved bike trail to explore for miles. Most of it being in shade from the sun.

NatureTrack will be providing manual wheelchair users with Freedom Trax (https://freedomtrax.com). The wheelchair transforms into a tank like motorized accessory to explore off-road trails. A limited number of Freedom Traxs will be available, so sign up to reserve your spot.

From exciting fishing to scenic hikes, there's something for everyone to enjoy in on the American River Parkway. Witness the incredible biodiversity, chill out by the river and watch the fish swim around. Or just come chill with your friends and make new ones.

Requirements to use a Freedom Trax:

• A manual wheelchair or the ability to transfer into a provided manual chair

• Manual wheelchair must be between 18"-26" wide at the base of the wheels

• Maximum weight is 250lbs

Will there be shade?

Yes, the trails on the river are mostly covered with trees, providing lots of shade. We will have ice and washcloths available also for overheating.
