The Center for Adult Transition is within the School of Continuing Education and Workforce Development. The mission of Hudson County Community College’s Center for Adult Transition is consistent with the overall College mission by providing young adults diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities up to the age of twenty-four with the support and resources for the successful transition from secondary school to academic pathways, workforce training, skill development, and/or independent living in service of helping them meet their personal and professional goals. Our overall mission is to inspire those who are developmentally disabled to transition into the HCCC academic community and culture to build relationships that create and illuminate opportunities for the HCCC’s CAT students that advance social equity, environmental stewardship, and economic success into adulthood.
