About this event

Science & Tech • Other

Join Des Moines Community Impact & Relations and Easterseals Iowa to explore a variety of assistive technology (AT) devices that support individuals in the workplace. Assistive technology helps people with tasks that might be hard for them otherwise. AT may be any device or system that helps perform a task. These tasks may include learning, working, playing, and being part of community life.

Attendees will:

  • Learn about and explore hands-on a wide range of AT devices
  • Hear an overview of the Assistive Technology and Rural Solutions programs at Easterseals
  • Be inspired by success stories from individuals who utilize AT devices to enhance their daily lives

We will also uplift the partnership between Easterseals and the Des Moines Public Library.

The Easterseals Iowa Assistive Technology Program helps Iowans find Assistive Technology. This supports their daily activities while ensuring safety and independence. Activities may include learning, working, playing, and engaging in community life. Our team supports Iowans of all ages and disabilities. This includes persons who are aging. Visit IowaAT.org for more information about Easterseals Iowa services.
