Accelerated Core Sommelier Course

This summer, take the fast track to sommelier certification with the Wine School of Philadelphia—the top-ranked wine school in America (SOMM).

The Accelerated Core Sommelier Course is a one-week intensive version of our full Core Program. It's designed for wine professionals, serious enthusiasts, and summer students who want to master the art and science of wine, without committing to a multi-week schedule.

You’ll Learn:

• Professional wine tasting and blind analysis techniques
• Grape varietal identification and structural evaluation
• Global wine styles, terroir theory, and regional benchmarks
• Comparative analysis of Old World and New World wines
• Practical, real-world skills taught by industry-leading instructors

Certification:
Successful students earn their Level III Sommelier Certification and pin from the National Wine School. This credential is equivalent to those offered by other major organizations such as WSET and CMS—but with a more dynamic, hands-on approach.

Schedule:

• Monday, August 4 – Friday, August 8: 6:30–10:00 PM (with break)
• Saturday, August 9: 1:00–3:30 PM (exam prep + tasting exams)
