Course description: Many diseases of the retina are actually diseases of the vitreoretinal interface, or at least influenced by the relationship between the vitreous and the retina. In this talk, we will review the basic anatomic relationships between vitreous and retina and then dive into a variety of related diseases including posterior vitreous detachment, retinal tear and detachment, vitreomacular traction, macular hole, diabetic retinopathy, pediatric vitreoretinopathies, and more.
