8th Grade Students and Parents/Guardians are invited to learn about the Academy for Environmental Science located at Jefferson High School. This academy provides students with the interdisciplinary study of natural processes and human impacts in the atmosphere, aquatic systems, and soils. The program of study links the principles of art, history, language arts, technology, biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics to environmental concepts.

The academy programs at MCVSD allow high school students to explore specialized fields of study while completing their academic requirements. Each academy offers a unique course sequence along with opportunities for internships and college credit. Combining rigorous academics with hands-on, career-focused learning, the programs help students develop essential skills and prepare for future opportunities.
