CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Dive into the world of abstract fiber art with local fiber artist Tyler of Tyler Makes Things to make a cherished piece of art that can be used as an ornament or year-round decor. You’ll discover the versatility of punch needle, a traditional North American craft that grew out of 19th-century rug hooking, and learn how it can be used in fresh, modern ways.

You’ll experiment with yarn, beads, punch needles, and embroidery needles to create texture and depth on indigo-dyed monk's cloth. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have designed a one-of-a-kind piece of art in a mini embroidery hoop that reflects your creative vision.
