Celebrate AAPI Heritage Month at our AAPI: Representation in Entertainment panel on Tuesday May 27, 6:30p at Emerson LA in Hollywood. Speakers will share their path from college to entertainment, importance of and how to improve AAPI representation in film and TV, and inspirational career tips. Light snacks provided. Speakers include:
C.S. Lee (Yale MFA), is known for his roles on Showtime's Dexter as Vince Masuka, and Netlfix' Cobra Kai as Master Kim Sun-Young. His additional credits over more than 20 years include Chuck, Fresh Off The Boat, For All Mankind, and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Rich Ting is known for his acting roles in Warrior, The Man in the High Castle, On Call, Tulsa King, and Lone Survivor. A former Yale football player with dual J.D./M.B.A. degrees, he transitioned from law to acting, bringing physicality and depth to his performances
Michele Josue (Emerson) is known for her impactful documentary films including Daytime Emmy-winner Matt Shepard Is a Friend of Mine, and the recent documentary Nurse Unseen about Filipino nurses on the pandemic frontline.
Daniel J. Park (Emerson), Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Assistant Writer. He is also a TV, comic, and video game writer who has projects in development with Netflix Animation and Black Tower Studios.
