Event description
Join us for the FINAL EVENT of the 2022 Alaska Angel Conference! Watch the pitches and find out who will walk away with a $100K investment.

About this event

Wherever you're located, join us virtually or in-person to find out which company has been selected by the AAC 2022 investors for a $100K investment via the Wefunder platform!

Doors will open at 4pm and the event & livestream will begin at 4:30pm.

What to expect

  • final pitches by the five finalist startups
  • announcement of the winner of a $100K investment
  • attendee participation in the People's Choice Award
  • a keynote address from Amy Fredeen, COO at CITC Enterprises and CFO at Cook Inlet Tribal Council
  • prizes for randomly selected attendees!
  • Anchorage attendees will celebrate after the event in the Library Circle with Mr Darryl's Southern BBQ food truck!

Participant Pitches

  • Airhounds: The Airhounds wearable air quality monitor gives you the data you need to make informed decisions about your risk from airborne diseases like COVID-19.
  • North Star Tutors: We were founded by Alaskan Students, for Alaskan Students in response to increasing market demand across the state for additional educational support services.
  • Fishability: Fishability's mission is to provide access to ocean activities for people with disabilities, through the use of a customized, universally-accessible vessel.
  • Kartorium: Kartorium provides a customizable 3D documentation tool for planning and training in heavy industries.
  • Prismatext: Read a book. Learn a language.

Prizes (must RSVP and be present to receive):

  • One of the finalist companies will receive the People's Choice Award of a free tax return, courtesy of Balanced CPAs.
  • 5 random attendees will receive $100 each in Wefunder.com investor credits, to invest in any company of their choice.*
  • One attendee will receive 1 free month of tutoring or music lessons from North Star Tutors
  • For Anchorage: one attendee will receive an e-book bundle from Prismatext and another will receive one-month access to Cowork by RSD

Keynote Speaker

Amy Fredeen is of Inupiaq heritage and served as the Lead Cultural Ambassador for the game Never Alone. She currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at E-Line and as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC), an innovative nonprofit that provides educational and social services to Alaska Natives and American Indian people in the Cook Inlet Region of Alaska. Amy also holds several other active roles, including President/Chair of the Board of International Funders for Indigenous Peoples and member of the Board of Directors for Cook Inlet Native Head Start and the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts.
