This hands-on session explores the history and engineering characteristics of vintage pipelines, covering key topics such as:

  • Chemical and mechanical properties of older pipeline materials
  • Identification of long seam types: flash weld, low-frequency ERW, high-frequency ERW
  • Microstructure analysis, hard spots, and failure mechanisms
  • Real-world case studies in failure analysis
