We will be taking over the Winter Park Farmers Market for an evening of holiday cheer with a very special guest, Jan Brett!
Jan Brett is the author and illustrator of over 40 picture books. Look on your shelves, we're sure that you have more than one! Her art and stories have been the centerpiece of many a holiday and we're so honored to have been choosen as the last stop on her tour!
Tickets are nessary if you wish to attend Jan's presentation and get any books signed. There is a limit on the number of people that will be able to attend the special presenation and get books signed so please ensure you get your tickets early!
There will be a lot of your favorite Winter Park vendors on site with everything from hot chocolate to gingerbread cookies. You do not need a ticket to come and see the bus or visit the vendors. You will need one to meet Jan and Hedgie!
The Evening:
Before the book signing Jan Brett will do a 20-30 minute drawing demonstration and presentation. We will ask kids to sit and work to project the demonstration outside for those that don't arrive early! Tickets are required.
Customers must have purchased a ticket which includes a copy of The Christmas Sweater to join the signing line. Writers Block Bookstore will be on hand with extra copies of The Christmas Sweater and select backlist on sale at the event.
Arrive early! The first 100 families in line will receive a free signed Jan Brett poster. Jan will do her very best to sign all of the books that time permits. The number of books that Jan can sign per family depends on how many people come to the signing. If time does not permit Jan to sign every book, Writers Block will have special signed bookplates featuring Jan’s full-color artwork for all of the extra books.
Tour Bus: Jan’s tour bus will be parked in the Winter Park Farmers Market parking lot at 4PM. It’s wrapped in artwork from The Christmas Sweater. You’re welcome to take a photo next to the bus.
