Oldspeak is open 10AM-10PM
Andrea Gibson books will be available for purchase and copies of ROV zines will also be available.
Andrea Gibson was such an amazing human and poet. They wrote poems to make you laugh, to make you cry, to make you feel courageous, to make you love, to make you soft, and that did all of those things and more in a beautiful bundle of words gifted to us all.
Let's celebrate that again. Why again? In all honesty, ROV's #1 Andrea Gibson fan missed the last one because of flight issues, but also there were a lot of people who wanted more, and there are so so many more poems by Andrea to be shared. So please, come share in the special way only you can. Whatever courage you can muster and words you can speak will surely make Andrea (and all of us) proud.
From Andrea's poem Elbows
"Learning 'Brave' is a hand me down suit from terrified-as-hell
Dress me in whatever will get me to the door of my heart
Get my faith in us under your skin
Hold my stubborn in the palm of your free
Tell whoever is sitting beside you tonight
Thank God you never got braces
Your bite looks like a city skyline
I bet you leave that kind of mark on this world"
