By Glasgow Museums

Overview

Make a community film together using a Super8 projector and film reels in this workshop with the Intercultural Youth Group

In this workshop we will use a super 8 projector and super 8 film reels (blank or archived) to make a community film together. Participants will be given materials to physically scratch and draw onto the film.

Using the method of foley design in films, they will be guided in creating a live sound design (it can include spoken word, poetry) and use props relevant to the project. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a final film to watch together.

Everyone is welcome! You'll be introduced to alternative filmmaking techniques such as the Super 8 projector as a method of making and sharing stories and connect. Travel expenses can be provided, please bring proof of purchase to get a refund (ticket or receipt).

Inspired by the Moving Image Archives work, the event will introduce participants to the resources that the provides and hopes to build stronger connections towards this organisation.
