Training Curriculum
Hands-on seminar including realistic simulations of self-defense situations guided by top level highly experienced coaches.
Mental
➢ Enhanced sensitivity for early identification of danger andpotential attacker’s intentions➢ Keeping stable emotions, determination with mantal flexibility for effective performance under pressure facing violence and danger.
Technical
➢ Body Dynamics: connecting body parts (center, base, extremities) for a chain reaction of efficient energy generation and transmission (minimizing separate isolated movement) generating significant power within small space and short time usually available in self-defense situations.➢ Posture and Stance➢ Footwork➢ Breathing – Inner Power and Ground reaction➢ Kime – focus and energy acceleration at moment of impact➢ Continuation – efficient transition from 1 technique to next.➢ Blocking techniques➢ Break Balance techniques
Timing and Response
➢ Kake-no-Sen: early identification ‘killing opponent’s intention’ ultimately before physical movement➢ Tai-no-sen: slightly late requiring block or movement to meet opponent’s attack➢ Go-no-sen: avoid or block 1st attack and counter in between before 2nd.
Groundwork
Tools and techniques when forced to defend yourself on the ground (after falling or losing balance)
