We are excited to welcome author Chris Yohn back to his hometown bookstore for the release of his new book: Liberty's Land. The best way to describe his work? Living History. Chris writes about the very real people from the West Branch Valley who were part of the revolution.

In Liberty's Land, Chris recounts the true story of the American Revolution on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. The men, women and children who settled the valley made remarkable contributions to American independence and their real-life experiences are more compelling than anything that could have been imagined.

The action spans the course of the conflict as locals defend the valley and march with the Continental Army through the war’s major events. But, more than a simple war story, the action evolves through layers of espionage, conspiracy and murder.

Richly detailed and deeply human, the narrative reveals how, through courage, self-determination and the relentlessness pursuit of liberty, these men and women helped forge a nation founded on the radical idea that all people are created equal.

About the Author: Chris Yohn grew up on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River and has been a history enthusiast since childhood. He and his wife moved to New York City after college to pursue a career in the performing arts. For the next ten years, Chris regularly appeared on daytime television. He was a founding member of the North Country Rock band Parker Hill, which played in some of the city’s better-known venues and best-forgotten dives. He also worked on stage and in film before leaving New York with a Broadway national tour. He is a recipient of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Patriot Medal, the SAR Gold 250th Anniversary Medal and two International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Gold Quill awards.
