On November 18, Voices of Change continues the tradition of bringing you outstanding contemporary music that you won’t hear anywhere else.

If Francois Girard’s Academy Award-winning movie "The Red Violin” touched your heart, you won’t want to miss this magical program. Our own Artistic Director, DSO violinist Maria Schleuning presents Caprices for solo violin by John Corigliano. These pieces were composed especially for Joshua Bell who also performed them in the movie.

But why A Serenade of Strings? Because you’ll also be hearing the mysterious and romantic “Chahagir" for solo viola by Alan Hovhaness, selections from Zoltán Kodály's solo cello sonata, and selections from Ernő Dohnány’s Serenade for StringTrio.
