Join The Snail on the Wall on a journey through time and space with physicist, NASA technologist, and prolific sci-fi author Les Johnson. We'll be not only celebrating the release of his newest book, Pluto, but also exploring the sci-fi genre with one of its masters.
The event will be at The Snail on the Wall bookstore on Wednesday, November 19 at 6 pm. Tickets are $5, with $5 going toward any book purchase at the event.
About Les Johnson:
In his day job, Les Johnson is chief technologist at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center here in Huntsville. Johnson is the author or co-author of multiple popular science and science fiction books. After the 2020 death of co-author and Hugo Award–winner Ben Bova, Les Johnson completed the book Pluto, with the approval of the Estate of Ben Bova. Bova's Outer Planets series takes a Grand Tour of the human settled solar system, with a final encounter on Pluto. Johnson is a member of the International Academy of Astronautics, a member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, co-founder of the Interstellar Research Group, and a member of MENSA.
