About this event

Health • Yoga

We are living in uncertain times, and more than ever, we we need compassion which always starts with “self-compassion.”

Self-Compassion helps us soothe our animal bodies that are in fight or flight mode.

At Compassionate Atlanta, we like to do what we can, when we can, where we can, with whom we can, and how we can.

This is a time to recharge and relax. Your community wants to love on you and appreciate you.

This is our offering to our community: A special extended Yoga Nidra Meditation and Gong Sound Bath for members of our community that are feeling destabilized – the immigrant community, Federal workers, CDC folks, Veterans, LGBTQ+ community, and Community Friends.

This event is open to everyone. This is an accessible location for those with mobility impairments/disabilities. Entrance and restrooms are accessible. If you have any additional needs or questions email info@CompassionateATL.org for a complimentary ticket.

Join us for this nurturing Yoga Nidra experience in a compassionate community, led by Eve Smith of Sanctum with Eve and Cathy Roberts Eads of Bliss Yoga.

The practice of Yoga Nidra is for Every-Body! It is a meditative form of yoga that fosters deep relaxation and inner awareness, benefiting physical, mental, and emotional well-being. There are no asanas in Yoga Nidra.

📍 Location: Hawkins Hall-Legacy Park, 500 S. Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30030

  • Take the second entrance from either direction. Hawkins Hall is behind the main building with the two large columns. Please follow the signs.

🧘 What to Bring: Yoga mat, blanket, pillow, and eye mask and water bottle for your comfort.

Refreshments will follow the session.

The proceeds will benefit Compassionate Atlanta's Bob Thompson POSITIVE PEACE BUILDING fund in honor of our founder. This fund gives Compassionate Atlanta discretionary funding that will allow us to CARE and CREATE in ways that bring wholeness to individual lives and communities.
