I'm publishing my first novel, The Dinner Party, on November 4th, and I wanted to do a reading, and Q&A ahead of that, with the hope of letting people get a feel for what the book is.Chapter 1 is available for free already on MichaelChristopherCole.com, and I will not be reading that chapter, so you may want to go download that ahead of this reading to get even more familiar.The book is an exploration of the sexual and emotional maturation of a young man from about age 14 until his mid-thirties. It explores these themes frankly, and so I don't recommend attending this reading with a younger audience.Please join me on August 21st, and hopefully we'll have a great evening together, virtually!

Frequently asked questions

Will I be able to buy a copy of the book at the event?

The book is being published in November, so there will be a discount for preordering, but you won't be leaving with a copy on the night of the reading. If you pre-order before or during the event, you will leave with a signed "The Dinner Party" book plate.

Is this appropriate for children?

The topic of the book is sex and sexual maturity. I don't think that the passage I'll be reading is too in depth on the subject, but it's probably best if you don't bring the kiddos.
