JACK B. LEVINE is delighted to be a part of The Arts Alliance of Stratford's “A Night With A Playwright.” Jack has published books on Amazon.com, including An Anthology of Plays, Primer for the Performing Arts, Tales of Mirth and Madness, Parodies and Comedy Skits, Live Love & Learn, and Laughing Out Loud: A Memoir. Jack has had several of his plays performed onstage and online.
Jack had a fifty-year career in finance, accounting, and operations. When he retired as chief financial officer, he decided to try something new. Over the past nine years, Jack has been an improv performer, standup comedian, personal storyteller, actor, author and playwright. Jack has performed as Grandpa Joe in ‘Willie Wonka’ at Broadway on Main in East Haven, Officer Brophy in “Arsenic and Old Lace” at Elim Park in Cheshire, Mr. DePinna in “You Can’t Take It With You” at a venue in Glastonbury, two years in The Suffield Players New Faces performances (“This Ferry Ride” and “The Golden Years”), and three years in The Orange Players Acting Up! performances (“You Haven’t Changed A Bit”, “Zooming Thru Life” and “153’). Levine has also performed online, including George in “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” and Paul in “Such Small Hands”.
Levine performed in the Palace Theater of Waterbury’s 2nd Act Life Stories Series. Jack also taught an introduction to acting class at the University of Connecticut – Waterbury adult education program. He is the creator and administrator of “Forum for Friendly Playwrights, Actors and Theater Lovers”, a private Facebook group with over 1,100 members. Jack is a Dramatists Guild Member.
