Safety Harbor Art & Music Center

Join us for an evening of captivating tales and laughter with Tampa Bay storyteller and former Tampa Tribune columnist Walt Belcher. Walt kicks off each event with a short talk on the art of storytelling, followed by true (and not-so-true) stories from both new and seasoned tellers.

Want to share? Sign up between 6:30–7:00 PM for a chance to tell your 5–7 minute story.

All ages welcome—listeners too!

Beer, wine, soda, and water available for purchase.*

Suggested $2 donation at the door.

*Please note: Due to our liquor license, no outside open containers of any kind are allowed on the premises, including water bottles. Thank you for helping us stay compliant!

Frequently asked questions

Is parking available?

Street parking available except where curbs are painted yellow. Some city lots nearby. Do not park in the Gigglewaters parking lot adjacent to Daydreamers Cafe. You may be towed.

Can I bring my dog, cat or chicken to SHAMc?

Sorry no pets allowed. Only approved service animals permitted inside venue.

Are all supplies included?

Yes, unless otherwise communicated via email or in class description.

Are snacks and/or lunch provided?

No, water is always available. Please have your child bring plenty of water, drinks, snacks and lunch daily.

What is the adult to child ratio?

All classes are taught by certified art instructors with level II clearance. Each camp/class has at least 2 volunteers making the ratio approx. 7:1 at a minimum.

Is the classroom/art studio air conditioned?

The classroom is air conditioned, but the rest of the SHAMc facility is open air. We do have fans and great air flow making the space as comfortable as possible.
