A new approach to programs for families and children

By Department of Social Services
Online event

Overview

First Nations specific online townhall

The purpose of the townhall is to seek your feedback on the proposed changes outlined in the Discussion Paper for a new approach to programs for families and children.

We also want to hear your ideas about how we can streamline service delivery so providers can spend more time supporting families and children.

This will include feedback on:

· If the proposed changes will provide more flexibility for providers and reduce red tape

· Whether we are focusing on the right outcomes, and priority areas of investment, to support families and children

· Ways we can better work together, including relational contracting approaches, and what data or information we should collect to understand how services are making positive impacts on children and families.

· How we can improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torrres Strait Islander children and families and increase the number of Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations delivering services to children and families.
