About this event
As you likely know, Tim Berners-Lee is the inventor of the World Wide Web. He will deliver a speech, "The World Wide Web: A Midcourse Correction," to design and research students and teachers in Dallas. In this session, Berners-Lee will cover several pressing issues on the future of the internet, including:
- The Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Internet of Things
- Automation and machine learning
- Virtual and augmented reality
- Developing nations and issues of accessibility
Berners-Lee will not conduct any media interviews, but attending this event provides an opportunity for you to hear directly from an industry legend about his latest platform.
The event also will showcase tech demonstrations from universities, including SMU, University of North Texas and UT-Dallas, and C-Hear itself.
Seating is limited. CART and ASL services will be available to those who request them. The live event is in the Bush Auditorium.
