Carlos Figueroa Da Silva, known professionally as Carlos Cello, is a multifaceted cellist, composer, and content creator from Venezuela. His musical foundation was forged in El Sistema, where he not only became a teacher but also a member of renowned symphony orchestras, mentored by Gustavo Dudamel and cellist WilliammMolina.

Carlos continued his education in the U.S. on a Fulbright scholarship, earning undergraduate and graduate degrees from Shenandoah University and George Mason University. He is also a prize winner, having won major competitions in the DMV area with his performances of the Elgar and Shostakovich cello concertos.

A truly versatile musician, Carlos’s expertise spans multiple genres, including classical, pop, rock, jazz, Celtic, and house. In 2025, he founded his company, Carlos Cello LLC, in Washington, D.C. He is a featured artist with Bialek’s Music, performing at a wide variety of culturally diverse events, including Middle Eastern, South Asian, European, and North and South American celebrations.

His engagements at prestigious venues and organizations—such as The Willard Hotel, Waldorf Astoria, JW Marriott, The Mayflower Hotel, Capital Pride Alliance, Human Rights organizations, National Theaters, Foreign Embassies, and Smithsonian Museums—have earned him recognition as an ambassador for Washington D.C.’s multicultural community. Beyond the DMV, his performances have taken him to cities including Mexico City, Guadalajara, Puebla, New York, Philadelphia, Miami, New Orleans, Los Angeles, to name a few. As he says, "Art has the power to connect us all, to bridge cultures and communities, and to show us the beauty and wonder in the world.
