ABOUT PROFESSOR TU WEIMING:
Prof. Tu is the Director of the Institute for Advanced Humanistic Studies and Chair Professor of Humanities at Peking University, as well as Harvard-Yenching Professor of Chinese History and Philosophy and of Confucian Studies, Emeritus, at Harvard University. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (1988- ), an Executive Member and Vice Chairman of the Federation of International Philosophical Societies (FISP, 2008- ), and a Titular Member of the Institute of International Philosophy (IIP 2010- ). One of the foremost scholars of Confucianism in our time, Prof. Tu has lectured in more than a hundred universities around the world and has played a pioneering role in the creative development of modern Confucianism as a global intellectual discourse.
