Brónagh Gallagher is an artist, researcher, and sauna practitioner exploring the cultural and bodily histories of sweating. Her current research focuses on Teach Allais (Sweat Houses) which are traditional beehive-shaped stone structures once used for sweating in Ireland. Through this work, she opens questions about how care is built and shared, and how these historic practices relate to contemporary forms of sweating.
