A Full Moon Reading – “I’m two halves of the moon, I’m still evolving"
Overview
In the tarot, the Moon card stands for the subconscious, for our fears, illusions and dreams. In the Rider-Waite deck, the moon is depicted with a pained expression, eyes closed, rising above two towers in the background and two dogs in the foreground howling. There’s a pond at the bottom of the card, where a lobster is just about to crawl onto land. It’s a surreal image, like a strange dream it reminds us that nothing is exactly as it seems; therefore, there are many things in the subconscious worthy of our attention and interpretation.
Under the November full moon, writers Fariha Róisín & Sophia Hembeck spend an evening reading from their works, come around to hear their incantation to alchemize change.
