About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Grief comes hand-in-hand with change, loss, and the weight of the world we’re living in.

Dip in the Darkness is a community heart circle where we hold space for the big transitions, collective heartbreak, and everyday overwhelm that so many of us are carrying.

Death, relationship endings, transition to parenthood, illness, global warming, political turmoil, international unrest, changes in identity and everything in between - loss takes many forms. And in a world that keeps pushing forward, this is your moment to pause.

Here, you don’t have to hold it all alone.

Step into a space where you can exhale, release, and be held in community. Leave feeling a little lighter, a little clearer, and a little more ready to navigate whatever comes next.

Join us at Cocoon Philly for an afternoon of shared reflection, quiet witnessing, and deep exhale.

Come as you are. Leave with a little more space to breathe.

This heart circle is led by certified grief counselor and facilitator, Randi Hall.

Warning: You may experience catharsis. You may run up against discomfort. You may feel revitalized. And (gasp!) You might even enjoy yourself!

Tickets are on a sliding scale between $35 to $50. Please choose the ticket option that's right for you and your financial situation. There is no difference in the tickets.

Frequently asked questions

Who is leading this circle?

This circle will be led and facilitated by Randi Hall. Randi is a Grief Support Specialist as well as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Relationship Coach, and a trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner. She works from a place of integrity and confidence in her craft.

How do I know if this event is right for me?

If you have feelings of grief, sadness, heaviness, frustration, or loss that you've been carrying - join us. You may be grieving anything from personal tragedy and death, to feeling let down by our political systems and grieving for marginalized communities. All are welcome here.

What is the point of a heart circle?

The world might feel like an overwhelming place right now. This circle is a place to release all of the heaviness you are carrying, and care for your own needs. Take a pause. Release. And - hopefully - leave feeling just a little bit more relief.

What do we do during a guided circle?

We will: - Share our stories of loss and their impact - Connect with others who are grieving - Learn ways to process and heal your grieving system - Integrate through music and art making, writing, and embodied movement. - Take breaks and practice honoring spaciousness and taking our time

What should I bring?

A journal and pen, something physical that represents your loss or losses, and an open mind. We'll take care of the rest.
