A Day on the Dixie Highway

Enjoy a drive on the historic Dixie highway from the Roller Rink in Markham to Momence, IL. This years event will start with free coffee and donuts in Markham and then make stops at some of the areas cemetaries where notable people are buried and through interpretive guides you will hear about their lives and accomplishments. As usual a stop for free ice cream and a hot dog as well as the Momence Heritage festival at the end of the event.

A portion of the profits from this event is used to purchase, install and maintain the metal Dixie Highway signs from Blue Island to Danville, IL as well as the large storyboard signs along the route.
