Meet Colette

Colette Phillips is the Co-Founder of the GK FUND with a mission towards closing the racial wealth gap by facilitating access to capital, technology and mentorship for startups and small businesses BIPOC founders. The fund is supported by a dedicated network of foundations, corporations and individuals. Through its portfolio of integrated programming and partnerships, the fund helps promising BIPOC founders build connections, secure loan capital, receive a website and connect with angel investors, family offices and venture capital firms.

Meet Evelyn

Hon. Evelyn Murphy is a Board Member of the GK FUND and former LT. Governer of Massachusetts. The first woman in the history of the state to hold a constitutional office. She is now the president of The WAGE Project, a United States nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating wage discrimination against women; a resident scholar at the Women's Studies Research Center at Brandeis University, and a corporate director.

Collective Conversation Series

Mark your calendars for our 2025 Collective Conversation Series! Every first Friday we will gather from 12-1 pm over Zoom to learn, take action, and build community. This series is designed as a community forum focused on inviting experts from the Impact Collective community to share wisdom and spark conversation about topics relating to closing the racial wealth gap. Upcoming topics include direct giving, investing to close the racial wealth gap, Boston’s Black business ecosystem, and more!
