Where can I park?

There is some parking available on Broad Street in front of and across the street from the church.  In addition, there is a free municipal lot on Stacy Street about 100 yards from the church.  If you turn off Broad Street onto Stacy Street, the lot is  immediately on your left.

Can I bring children?

We do not recommend the performance for children under the age of 8 as this is a one-man show and sometimes it is difficult for younger children to comprehend that there are different characters all portrayed by one actor.  If that isn't an issue for your children, they are welcome to attend.

Question 3

What is the reception?

Broad Street UMC provides refreshments (coffee/tea, cold drinks, desserts) following each performance and you can meet and greet Mr. Dickens.  He is available to answer questions, autograph books or take pictures.  The reception is free.

Question 4

How long is the performance?

Accepted Answer

The performance itself takes about an hour and twenty minutes.  You are welcome to stay at the reception following the performance for an hour or so.

Question 5

Can I take pictures?

Accepted Answer

No photographs or videos are allowed during the performance, but you are welcome to take pictures with Mr. Dickens following the performance at the reception.

Question 6

Can I bring something for Mr. Dickens to autograph?

Accepted Answer

Yes, of course.  People often bring him their own copies of 'A Christmas Carol' to sign.  The church will have copies of the book available for purchase as well.  And Mr. Dickens has written two books which are available on Amazon or at the church also.  He is happy to sign any of those things.
